Lead strategic communications, as well as media engagement and social media outreach, as the first-ever communications officer to join the Office of the Executive Director (Cabinet) of the International Trade Centre.Work with colleagues at headquarters and in country-based offices to develop UN-aligned key messaging for the Executive Director on topics such as priority actions for developing countries to navigate the impact of the US tariffs, addressing climate change through the strengthening of small businesses, prioritizing the economic empowerment of women and youth for inclusive development, and making digital connectivity a reality for developing countries.Support agenda setting and thought leadership by crafting talking points and securing interviews with media outlets such as Bloomberg News, Financial Times, New York Times, BBC, CNBC, Politico, Time.More generally: Develop strategic messaging and provide timely media analysis, coherent policy advice, analysis and research. Engage with media and external stakeholders, and represent the Executive Director in press briefings as her spokesperson. Coordinate activities with the Communications and Events team, including through direct management of the media and corporate social media teams, and by working closely with other teams across the organization.
