ABOUT ROUNAK MAGOO

Part-time ShotGrid senpai, full-time fire marshal - Rounak Magoo is an experienced creative producer in Virtual Production, VFX, animation, and special venue features. From line producing real-time previs on Rajamouli’s to VFX on Fast and Furious 9 at DNeg, to building Netflix’s dedicated Virtual Production Unit at Green Rain Studios, she is now a Virtual Production Producer at Eyeline Studios, Powered by Netflix. She holds a solid track record of leading departments across all stages of the pipeline from building a bespoke team of 8 to managing a global army of over 150. Rounak is best known for spearheading studios in setting up robust pipeline tools and workflows, while propagating her feminist agenda. In 2021, she was granted a fellowship by Epic Games for the first edition of Women Creators Program and created one of the top 5 films. Her film “Yellow” captures the story of Dutch Post-Impressionist painter, Vincent Van Gogh through one of his most celebrated works - Starry Night. She was invited back to the program in 2022 as a Creative Mentor, guiding 20 incredible women creatives across South East Asia in their real-time journeys, and again in 2023 as Program Manager. When she’s not knee-deep in automating excel spreadsheets, she’s deeper underwater diving with hawksbill turtles and manta rays!
