ABOUT SEAN HILL

I am an experienced Manager, Workforce Planning, Talent Management and Sourcing Specialist. I previously led the Registration/Licensing team at the Medical Council of New Zealand; my team and I were responsible for ensuring medical practitioners met the standards required for registration enabling them to practise medicine and ensuring those standards were maintain through annual licensing. I gained considerable statutory and regulatory experience along with a strong understanding of professional qualifications and training from around the world and how they translate to the New Zealand practice context. I have worked in recruitment and talent sourcing (particularly Medical) across the public and private sectors over a number of years and have considerable expertise in relocating professionals from offshore, including managing complex professional registration and immigration processes. I have considerable experience leading recruitment teams and in developing and managing talent pipelines to ensure great outcomes. I also have strategic workforce and resourcing expertise having previously advised primary care health providers on how best utilise their healthcare practitioners to gain better patient outcomes and meet service delivery goals. Currently, I work with Verification Services within the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) to ensure they have sufficient quality Veterinary talent to meet their current and future business needs; making sure they have the right talent in the right place at the right time. I also assist in sourcing and managing Veterinary talent career pathways across MPI and lend my people expertise to other parts of the organisation.
