WORK HISTORY

ABOUT MELINDA SPILLMAN

I’m the founder of Modern Sienna, where I provide project management and operational support for small businesses navigating growth. My work is grounded in organization, follow-through, and clear communication. I’ve spent my career supporting leadership teams in fast-paced, detail-driven environments, and I’m known for being someone who brings structure and calm when work feels complex or overwhelming. I enjoy building systems that actually get used, helping teams stay aligned, and keeping projects moving forward with confidence.Modern Sienna grew from that same approach. I saw how often growing teams need steady, reliable support without adding unnecessary layers or overhead. Through Modern Sienna, I partner closely with leaders to strengthen workflows, improve coordination, and create breathing room so they can focus on delivery, relationships, and what’s next.Outside of work, I’m energized by creativity, curiosity, and connection. I love to travel, my favorite place on earth is Iceland for its beauty, perspective, and sense of calm. I’m an avid reader, and I enjoy experimenting with new cocktail recipes for friends as a way to bring people together. When I’m not working or planning my next trip, I’m usually spending time with my golden doodle, who happily gets the majority of my attention.I value thoughtful work, strong relationships, and growth that feels sustainable. If you’re building something and looking for clarity, structure, and a trusted partner along the way, I’d love to connect.
