I started in Māori economic development in 2006 and have been determined to make a difference for our people ever since. It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey that has included some exciting kaupapa. Business mentoring for Māori businesses, connecting them to the ecosystem of support programs and training as well as providing one on one expert advice. Championing Māori culture, values and matauranga. Supporting senior leadership of our organisation to be confident in engaging with Te Ao Māori as well as making Māoritanga access able to the organisation as a whole. Devising policies and programs that increase our organisation\'s ability to connect with Te Ao Māori in an authentic way. Partnering with Iwi to advocate for their Manamotuhake. Working with organisations such as Waka Kotahi, KiwiRail, Downer, Auckland Transport to help them connect with Iwi and the Māori business community. Writing and delivering business training programs. The nerd in me loves a bit of classroom action, talking about business topics is satisfying and fun.
