ABOUT SHANE HASTIE

I\'m now the Global Lead Agile, AI, Business Analysis & Leadership for Skills Development Group, teaching professional development courses across a wide range of industries and business areas including product management, business analysis, leadership, human skills, software development approaches, software testing and facilitation. Formerly Global Delivery Lead at SoftEd, I moved across when Skills acquired SoftEd in 2022.In September 2021 I completed the ICF Certificate in Coaching for Transformation from NZIC and joined the ICF, gaining the ICF-ACC certification. In addition to my other activities, I am now a practicing professional coach. In May 2017 I joined ICAgile as the Director of Agile Learning Programs, tasked with ensuring the learning objectives remain valid and useful, supporting the various communities that make up the ICAgile ecosystem and seeking ways to advance the state of agile learning. In November 2019 I moved into the Director of Community Development role, building and supporting the global community of thought leaders, members, instructors, and certification holders. Over the last 40 years I have been a practitioner and leader of developers, testers, trainers, project managers and business analysts; helping teams to deliver results that align with overall business objectives. I spent 15 years from 2002 to 2017 as a professional trainer and consultant specialising in Agile practices, business analysis, project management, requirements, testing and methodologies for SoftEd in Australia, New Zealand and around the world. I have assisted a number of companies in producing methodologies and implementing processes to improve their end to end software development capabilities, from initial scoping and business case through to final user acceptance testing. This included defining workflows, training and mentoring technical teams across end to end software development. I am a strong advocate of Agile methods - They Work!I\'ve co-authored two books -#NoProjects and The Rock Crusher.
