Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering activities in a multi-disciplinary team environment on the development of advanced modeling & simulation tools and fully integrated multi-physics models using MATLAB/Simulink model-based techniques for design of electric motor-generator drive & power systems, sensor/sensorless control algorithms and embedded C code generation for hybrid/electric propulsion applications. Lead engineering activities in a multi-disciplinary team environment on mechanical concept, layout, design, and analysis that includes material selection, bearing selection, dimensional tolerance specification, thermo-mechanical, stress, vibration, critical speed and hydraulic analyses, etc. Create Engineering & Product Development System that comprises standard work; acceptance & qualification test procedures; component, system and material specifications; manufacturing processes to drive robust system design, reduce product development cycle time, and facilitate continuous improvement in quality, delivery, value proposition and innovation. Create concepts, architecture, requirements, technology platforms and roadmaps of future capabilities for the development of fully integrated high performance hybrid/electric propulsion hardware combining electric drives, electric power generation, power conversion and energy storage for OEMS and conversion of conventional fossil fuel-based vehicle to hybrid/electric.
