As the Remuneration & Benefits Lead, I am a trusted senior partner to the organisation. I work with Managers, the People Leadership, the Chief Executive and the Executive Leadership Team to provide insights and strategic advice on the remuneration market, innovative thinking, and solutions to support the achievement of Hamilton City Council’s organisational priorities and objectives. I lead the Remuneration and Payroll teams as well as acting as the business lead on our HRIS/Payroll replacement project. A key achievement of mine in this role has been the introduction of an employee Health Insurance benefit, where employees are provided with fully funded hospital and specialist cover. This benefit is the Hamilton City Council’s biggest expenditure to date in the benefit area and continues to receive highly positive feedback from employees and the wider community.
