About Yousuf Khan
Empowering clinicians with information and education to optimize their patient care. Dedicated to providing healthcare solutions that bring value to administrators, clinicians, and most importantly, patients.As a student leader I was involved in a number of initiatives to spark interfaith and intercultural dialogue on campus. Initiating these conversations as a mentor for the Asian American Resource Center and President of the NIU Muslim Student Association, I contributed to a campus that supports the unique identities of its students.Furthermore, I pursued my interest in healthcare as a researcher in the Singh Microbiome Lab where I work on detecting pathogenic bacteria that can spread from bison to humans. I have further explored this passion by shadowing psychiatrists, gastroenterologists, cardiologists, and hospital administrators.Combining my interest in intercultural dialogue and healthcare, I am passionate about health equity and cultural competency in patient care plans. Utilizing my interdisciplinary background in healthcare, science, and business, I seek opportunities in which I am able to make long lasting changes that lead to improved patient outcomes.
