ABOUT MIKE KELLY
I’m a thirty-year software industry professional, now semi-retired from Tech DNA, a consulting firm I founded in 2009 that helps companies evaluate the quality and value of potential technology acquisitions and investments.Early in my career, I was a developer and manager of teams focused on delivering custom and packaged software. I joined Microsoft in 1993 and by was promoted to Partner (a designation reserved for Microsoft’s senior-level technical talent, their top 3% of engineers). During my 15 years at Microsoft, I served in leadership roles in program management and development, focused on delivering high-quality software features. In 2006, I joined Microsoft’s Engineering Excellence team, an internal research and advocacy organization responsible for identifying software development process innovation and internal evangelism of industry-leading practices, including those related to distributed development, and product quality and innovation techniques.My experience in development, program management, leadership and software quality assessment ultimately led me to start Tech DNA, where I built a team that helps companies conduct technical due diligence, a vital component of successful technology acquisitions.Since 2014, I\'ve been active as a volunteer leader in Citizens\' Climate Lobby (CCL), a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization focused on national policies to address the global climate crisis.
