ABOUT TARNISHA GREEN

I am a Gifted and Talented Mathematics and Engineering educator dedicated to challenging students to think critically, solve complex problems, and develop the confidence to pursue STEM pathways. I work with high-ability learners to deepen mathematical reasoning and apply engineering principles through rigorous, real-world learning experiences. My professional background also includes significant experience in higher education student support and success. Through that work, I developed a strong understanding of the academic, social, and structural factors that help students thrive in demanding learning environments. This perspective informs my teaching today. I focus not only on advanced content, but also on building the skills students need for long-term success: analytical thinking, persistence, curiosity, and independence. I am passionate about helping students see mathematics and engineering not just as subjects to master, but as powerful tools for understanding and shaping the world.
