ABOUT SOSIMI SAMUEL
Hello, this is Samuel Sosimi. I am very passionate about observing and measuring the Earth. This is the motivation behind developing skills as Project Surveyor working on different Infrastructure development projects across the globe as this require environmental data collection prior to the design phase, execution and the entire life cycle of asset development. In the course of my endeavour, I have acquired skills in the following aspects- Seabed and Land Topographic Survey- Underwater acoustic positioning- Dimensional Control Survey and Setting Out. Geotechnical and Geophysical Survey. Rig and Barge positioning- Engineering Survey.Total water storage anomalies (TWSA) derived from GRACE/GRACE-FO satellite mission coupled with meteorological forcing provides valuable insight in understanding the Global Water cycleIt\'s an interesting time for Geodesist due to the fact that the changing climate is continually modifying the hydrological cycle, temperature balance and rainfall pattern.The water mass transport within the water cycle have their underlying signatures in the temporal changes in the Gravity Field of the Earth. The GRACE/GRACE-FO satellite mission which circle the globe every 90 minutes more than ever before has placed Geodesists at the front burner of climate research due it\'s capacity to observe the temporal variability in the Earth\'s gravity Field with an unprecedented accuracy at a coarse resolution of 300 km.To further indulge my curiosity, I have developed interest in Earth Observation from different satellite missions. I have keen understanding of satellite altimetry principle and also have skills in it\'s data processing in understanding coastal and global sea level changes over time.
