ABOUT SAM HUNLEY

I am here to make an impact. I want to leave organizations better than I found them, and I want to know that the world is a better place because of my efforts. My career has been all about thinking deeply, making connections, and telling clear stories to drive meaningful actions and strategies. As an academic, I designed 3 novel research paradigms and connected the dots between developing fields of research. As a US federal employee, I helped lay the foundation for improved approaches to data, leading to concrete improvements in how Americans receive food benefits and how the government thinks about financial data. And as a product manager, I have driven improved customer communications to millions of customers and improved the experiences of millions of others by contributing to product strategies through intense analysis, collaboration, and storytelling. Critically, none of this work has been done alone. I thrive on teams, and I have strong history of leading teams to success. I am excited about the opportunity to continue driving positive changes with others. In addition, I am a trans, queer person who wants to do their best to support other LGBTQ+ folks in their journeys. I aim to foster inclusivity on any team that I join.
