ABOUT RACHAEL ZAPP

I’m a mission-driven events and engagement leader with over a decade of experience designing and delivering high-impact programs that bring people together around purpose and results. As Manager, Signature Programs at the Canadian Cancer Society, I lead a team of specialists to deliver in-person events, supporter experiences, and mission-based activations that strengthen engagement, reflect the brand, and drive meaningful outcomes. I thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments where thoughtful, detail-driven execution and data-informed strategy create spaces for meaningful connection and lasting impact. With a diploma in event management, I bring a strong foundation in strategic planning, experience design, and multi-channel engagement. I’m known for building strong relationships, collaborating cross-functionally, and leading high-performing teams to deliver well-executed events and activations that balance creativity, precision, and measurable impact. Last year I earned a certificate in leadership, enhancing my strengths in coaching, change management, and organizational culture—core to how I lead with purpose, empathy, and adaptability. Outside of work, I’ve volunteered with AFP Greater Vancouver Chapter since 2019 and currently serve as Vice President of Chapter Engagement on the Board of Directors. This role has deepened my commitment to sector leadership and personal growth. When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring the beauty of BC through hiking, skiing, camping, and running with my dog. I’m also an avid traveler, photographer, and event planner—always drawn to experiences that bring people together with intention and joy.
