ABOUT PIETA BLAKELY

If you’re the leader of a community based organization or foundation that’s focused on economic mobility and workforce development, you know how complicated it is to get the information that you need to build successful programs. That’s why I provide comprehensive consulting to understand the local labor market opportunities, engage with employers, design and implement effective programs, and measure results. When clients work with me, they get the information they need to build and grow programs that create wealth for communities and families. I started my nonprofit career as a teacher in workforce development and adult basic education. It was important work and I was worried that we didn’t really know if we were doing it well. In the process of trying to answer that question, I got a Masters in Education and a PhD in Social Policy. I’m known for explaining complicated things clearly, an emphasis on ethics and justice, and an understanding of how not-for-profits work.\"Project Hope engaged with Pieta Blakely at a very exciting time for our organization and as we were making a strategic change within our programs. She quickly understood our needs, she was flexible and open and quite knowledgeable about the direction we were going. As a result of our work with Blakely Consulting, Project Hope was able to make an important programmatic change and engage in the types of planning needed to ensure success. Staff are still talking about the \"data walk\" that she engaged our team in and how eye-opening this was!\" Christine Dixon, ED, Project Hope, Boston If you want to start building programs that work and sharing your programs\' impact, message me here on LinkedIn and we will arrange a 15 minute call to see if I can help.
