He leads efforts to implement structured performance dialogues, integrating key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance programmatic and policy impact. Additionally, he has served as a spokesperson for Hispanic media on topics such as ending puppy mills, broadening the organization’s reach and advocacy efforts.Previously, Pedro served as Project Manager for Spayathon for Puerto Rico, overseeing an initiative that provided high-quality sterilization services to over animals. This effort required meticulous project management, stakeholder coordination, and logistical execution to create a transformative impact on animal welfare in Puerto Rico.Pedro’s experience extends beyond nonprofit work. During the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, he played a critical role in the Government of Puerto Rico as a communications strategist, crafting press releases, speeches, and social media messaging to shape public response and ensure accurate information reached national and international audiences. His ability to navigate high-pressure environments was further demonstrated through organizing press conferences and securing major media coverage for key government officials.In his volunteer work, Pedro has served as a Transport Coordinator for the Saint Francis of Assisi Animal Sanctuary, facilitating rescue flights and building a lifesaving network of flight volunteers and rescue partners.Certified in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Pedro brings a unique blend of strategic insight, operational excellence, and advocacy to his work.
