About Paul Whelan

Paul is a seasoned operator with more than 33 years of experience within the roofing distribution and manufacturing industry, including a background in sales, strategic planning, vendor relationships and acquisitions. He joined SRS in 2010 as an RVP and took on the responsibility for growing the Northeast region. Under his leadership, the Northeast Region grew from its first four branch acquisition of Pace Supply in Philadelphia to 72 locations throughout the NE and $750MM in sales by 2019. The region grew with a solid team which supported same store sales growth, added 19 new Greenfields and closed on 12 acquisitions.Prior to joining the SRS team in 2010, Paul was a Partner/Owner of Morris Ginsberg & Sons, a roofing distributor with three locations in Virginia and Maryland, which was acquired by N.B. Handy Company in 2007. Before joining forces with Red Diamond Capital to acquire Morris Ginsberg & Sons in 2003, Paul held the position of Vice President/General Manager of The Roof Center, a roofing distributor with eighteen locations across the Mid- Atlantic region, which was acquired by Beacon Roofing Supply in 2001. Earlier in his career, Paul spent time working in his father’s roofing company before moving into sales in roofing distribution and with Tamko in the Mid- Atlantic area.
