About Paul Panelli

Paul has been a leader in the Construction Management and Engineering fields for over 45 years. He has been the executive in charge of many high technology mega-projects. He has directed all phases of design and construction, overseeing in excess of 15 billion dollars of work consisting of more than 16 million square feet of construction. He has successfully managed offices with over 175 professionals and projects having well over 3,500 craft workers onsite. He approaches every project with notable passion and cares deeply for every individual and company he engages with.He has been recognized for his broad technical expertise, visionary leadership and excellent business sense. Paul has consistently provided innovative solutions to exceed client expectations at every level. He received awards for Visionary Leadership and 3 of his projects received the Facility Of The Year Award (FOYA) from International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), of which he is a member. Paul has served as a liaison and consultant for many industry leaders, including Greg Aziz, CEO of National Steel Car; Bill Sheppard, Executive Vice President of Intel; and Dr. Johannes Roebers, Senior Director of Engineering of Genentech, to name a few. He has worked closely with Governors Bob Riley, Haley Barbour and many other U.S. Government, State and Local Officials. Paul developed U.S. Patents for Modular Cleanroom Plenum design, has taught Graduate Courses at the University of California, Berkeley and lectured both Nationally and Internationally on Construction Management and Engineering. He has also provided consulting services in executive leadership development and construction risk management, to companies throughout the U.S. Paul earned his MS in Engineering Management.     After over a year away from California, being responsible for overall strategic and operational leadership on a $2.5B data center program for a confidential client, Paul has returned to shift his focus to acquisition and execution of large technical projects in Southern California, as well as supporting other DPR regions within the US and abroad with his extensive experience in technical mega-projects. During his this time away he oversaw $1.1 billion dollars of construction completed at a rate of over $4.5M/day and included over 5 million craft-hours. In the recent past he led the completion of a 5 building R&D Campus Expansion for Edwards Lifesciences in Irvine, CA. This program, valued at over $300M, is part of what is expected to be a continued series of expansion phases. He also provided oversight for a $130M, alternate\" production research and development lab project. In his role as project executive, Paul completed the $480M Broadcom SoCal campus. This 74 acre greenfield site, located in Irvine, CA, will serve as the Gateway to the Orange County Great Park. Phase 1 of the project consisted of 4 buildings totaling sq.ft. of research and development space with amenities, a fitness center, a roadway bridge and a 400\' long roadway tunnel with a plaza deck above serving as the interconnecting space for all buildings. Each building has individual rooftop central plants for utility services. The buildings on this high-tech campus incorporated technologies that have yet to be created. Building on his experience in the life science industry he successfully completed DPR\'s work on Baxter Bioscience LAMP Program. Los Angeles Master Plan (LAMP) Program, valued at over $220 million including $25M in biotech process equipment. This project provided a new 118ksf Manufacturing Facility, Pilot Plant, 6-Story Office Complex, Research Space & Site Improvements. This project won two Facility Of The Year (FOYA) awards from ISPE.
