About Olivia Bruursema
I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Union College (Schenectady, NY) with a degree in English and Anthropology. As an English major I am an avid consumer of literature and a creative writer. Outside of academics at Union I maintained a position at Stella Pasta Bar as a Server, and was an active member of many clubs such as WRUC (radio club) and Sociology club. I am looking to begin my career in the publishing industry and begin professionally participating in all things English!

I provide academic support in literacy and comprehension to students in kindergarten through fourth grade, working both one on one and in small groups. I keep records of student performance to identify trends, discover areas of improvement, and create personalized learning plans. I also work directly with volunteer tutors providing coaching to ensure students needs are met, as well as managing scheduling and program implementation.
