At Healthfirst, strategic leadership is the cornerstone of my role as the Foundation Director, where I spearhead grantmaking initiatives and partnerships with a vision to impact access to health and health equity of New Yorkers. My tenure here has been marked by fostering external relationships, a skill honed during my time at Mother Cabrini Health Foundation, where I managed a substantial portfolio of grantees and over $250MM in grant awards.Leveraging my fluency in Spanish, I cultivate meaningful connections across diverse groups, enhancing our foundation’s reach and efficacy. My analytical acumen, underpinned by a PMP certification and experience in data analytics at Cigna, ensures that I deliver data-driven insights for better healthcare outcomes. Driven by a mission to bridge healthcare gaps, I am committed to developing innovative solutions that can be replicated at a larger scale.I have great people and leadership skills but also have the experience to complete the analytical work necessary through statistical analysis and database management.    As the Healthfirst Foundation (HFF) Director I am responsible for helping the organization achieve its mission. In conjunction with the foundation Board, I provide overall leadership to grantmaking initiatives and strategy. I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Foundation including grantmaking, administration, and financial functions in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board. I evaluate and oversee programs that receive grant funding. I provide guidance to the Board to carry out its governance and grantmaking functions, specifically in leveraging resources and establishing strategies to meet the foundation’s shared and measurable goals toward impact. I assure the foundation and its mission is consistently presented in strong, positive images to relevant stakeholders and that the foundation is responsive in the issue areas HFF prioritizes. Finally, I serve as a steward of HFF’s mission and my role in advancing health equity in New York.
