ABOUT MATTHEW OLSON
Matthew began his professional career at the Arizona Department of Agriculture after he received his B.S. in Plant Biology from ASU. He found his calling in the world of phycology and biotechnology after joining Heliae Development, LLC back in 2009. Matthew brought to MyLand, microalgae specific development and scale-up experience from various industries such as biofuels, nutraceuticals, and agriculture. He has utilized his laboratory, production, operations, and management skills to work on international transfer of technologies to companies in Mexico and Japan, where he was responsible for process design, development, implementation, and training. Matthew has multiple years of technical sales and marketing experience specifically to microalgae in commercial agriculture, in which he was responsible for field trials across the U.S. and led a nationwide sales team in a revenue-focused strategy maximizing on fast market penetration. Matthew joined the MyLand team in late 2019 with key focuses on the biological aspects of the production process and commercial agriculture R&D.
