ABOUT MARIA TACHEVA
I’m a localization professional with 15 years of experience working across translation, content management, localization engineering, and process development. In my current role, I focus on improving how localization is approached within the organization. Over the past two years, I’ve worked on moving from manual, fragmented workflows to a more structured setup, including the introduction of a string management and translation management system, a web-based authoring solution, as well as terminology practices. This has helped improve consistency, collaboration, and overall quality across UI and documentation.A large part of my work involves shaping processes around content and localization, and supporting product teams in adopting new ways of working with content. I collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and business analysts to better integrate localization into development workflows.More recently, I’ve been focusing on quality improvements across the UI, as well as exploring UX writing principles to better align localization with user experience.I enjoy working on initiatives that improve systems, processes, and collaboration across teams, especially where localization contributes to overall product quality.
