Executing extended role to optimize purchase and procurement functions at Varroc Forging Plant as an additional responsibility for purchase function• Strategizing & implementing purchase process for various goods as per requirements in compliance with organizational policies and DOA; administering Spending Budget, Purchase Requisition and Purchase Order• Ensuring completion of Team KRA; guiding team mates by providing corrective action plans for the problem areas• Suggesting corporates for e-Bidding procedures for high value contracts and PO; conducting weekly progress review of the saving projects and maintaining data in the system• Formulating various MIS and reports and sharing the same with Senior Leadership in Monthly Plant Review• Negotiating and finalizing procurement/purchasing of Capex and High Value Items• Building and maintaining vendor relations; developing new vendors for the Cost Reduction and VAVE projects; evaluating vendors, managing buyer processes, and analyzing reports• Verifying and checking plant level release of all POs and sending the same for Level II approval using SAP• Implementing various Continuous Improvement Methods to improve cost-saving initiatives; executing cost-effective projects in line with organizational cost reduction goals• Coordinating with different departments for inventory requirements; planning the inventory and optimizing stocking of materials; following up regularly with the suppliers ensuring timely delivery of the procured materials• Participating in supplier upgradation activities to ensure quality standards and minimize the risk in procurement; organizing review meetings with suppliers and stakeholders to improve quality and delivery schedules• Working with internal and external auditors for regular auditing of the operations and finances• Executing extended roles and responsibilities for purchase functions at Waluj, Aurangabad Plant
