ABOUT KYLE PILON

I am a technology professional with a background in software engineering, data science, and project leadership. I recently earned my B.S. in Information Technology & Web Science and Psychological Science with a Minor in Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where I developed a strong technical foundation and a problem-solving mindset.At Western Digital, I worked as a Software Engineering Co-Op, contributing to a Python-based test automation framework to improve hardware validation for enterprise storage solutions. I wrote and executed validation test scripts, troubleshot enterprise server hardware, and worked in an Agile engineering environment to enhance system reliability.In addition to my industry experience, I have worked on full-stack applications, data visualization tools, and automation projects. My capstone project, ACUVUE Go, was developed in partnership with Johnson & Johnson, where I designed a mobile app that engaged optometry students through interactive challenges, implementing data collection features for useful business insights. Other notable projects include implementing a software deployment CI/CD pipeline for a veteran owned small business and building a wildfire data visualization tool using NASA datasets.I enjoy working on technical challenges that blend software engineering and data science.
