ABOUT KODY MAKAI MILLER
Kody Miller is a National Account Manager for LaSalle. He is responsible for designing and implementing equipment leasing programs for Material Handling Equipment, IT infrastructure, medical equipment and various other forms of capital equipment. He also partners with regional and national vendors and OEM’s, VAR’s, banks and consulting firms to bring his clients the best solutions available. He focuses on client relationships and listens to his customers to understand specific problems that they face. Kody has been in the equipment leasing industry for 12 years and holds a BSBA from the University of Pittsburgh in Business Finance. He lives in Hollywood, FL with his wife Amanda, 3 children Ganon, Lavinia and Dashel and their dog Dempsey.\"One of the reasons I love working for LaSalle is the creative solutions we provide. This is something that is not just an idea or talked about, it starts at the top with our President Bob Metzen. Last year I worked internally with my back office staff and Sr. Management to help one of my Customers in northern Quebec come up with a solution with one of our $400K leases. This customer is a large Smelter with an annual production capacity of metric tons of billet, T-ingot, and slab. We worked with them to take back 2,$200K large capacity Hoist forklifts before the end of lease. After purchasing these units and leasing them back to our customer, they were permanently outfitted with attachments that blocked the operator’s view, rendering them unusable. We felt that our contacts were too embarrassed to say anything, so on our annual visit with my President and CFO, sensing that there was a big issue with these units, we discussed a plan to take the units back early, resell them and share the profits with them to help offset their remaining lease payments. One of the things that I am most proud of is feedback I received from vendors and banks who were astonished that we would do this.\" See experience for more detail.
