ABOUT JOSH TATE
I am a freelance broadcaster of radio, tv and online. I started my career in broadcasting at 16, reading the news live on the independent commercial radio station Radio Exe in Exeter, Devon. With responsibilities for scripting stories for each bulletin and live broadcast on the hour. With other work to prepare and edit news and podcast content for the station. I have been studying media law - to ensure I stay within guidelines when speaking on the radio or publishing articles or reports.In addition I presented on camera, live from the Cenotaph in 2023 alongside ITV’s news presenter Sharon Thomas for an armistice day broadcast to a live audience of over people for the Western Front Association.I have also had the privilege to interview key figures from politics, sport, and media, such as former F1 world champion Damon Hill, Tony Blair’s former spokesman Alastair Campbell, Olympic gold medallist Adam Peaty, BBC broadcaster and journalist Ed Stourton, Exeter City FC Managers, Exeter Chiefs Players, and many more. These can be viewed on my YouTube channel have an ambitious outlook on my career. With so many opportunities I have already been lucky enough to work on, I am now looking to the next stage of my career, with further freelance opportunities. I have my own content creation stream, Josh Tate Live, in which I have covered the UK National General Election of 2024. I write and produce my own stories, pieces to camera, and edits that are on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I am looking for any opportunities to cover news, politics, or live sports in an in-vision role. I thrive in a live environment, and I am excited to think about the possibilities of being the next generation of presenters/reporters in the new age of media.
