Currently leading a team of eleven staff in Illinois who are empowering over 200 teacher leaders to lead policy change at the state and district level, and instructional changes at the school level. Currently working to pass the Racism-Free School Act to combat racial harassment in education spaces. Launched the Illinois Affinity Group Network, a statewide network of affinity groups for educators of Color. Recent achievements in Illinois include improving retention of teachers of color, developing and passing Illinois\' new Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards, expanding and raising salaries for our ECE workforce, and helping the a school district move four schools from IL\'s warning list to commendable status through teacher leadership as a lever change. Regionally, helped launch Teach Plus Michigan, and have supported new Executive Directors in Indiana, Nevada, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
