ABOUT JOHN MYCHAL WARREN
I am currently in my fourth year at Louisiana State University, pursuing a B.S. in Biological Engineering, with a focus on biomechanics and biotechnology. In correlation with my studies, I am also conducting an independent work study on the potential applications of markerless biomechanic analysis, which involves using OpenSim, a software for modeling and simulating human movement, to create biomechanical models and provide recommendations based on our collected data. I am interested in exploring the possibilities of this technology for improving performance in sports, and also in healthcare.This year I am also beginning a position as a Baseball Analytics Student Manager for LSU Baseball. I am excited to apply my passion and skills in data analytics and computer science to support the coaching staff and players with statistical analysis and performance optimization. In addition, I have gained valuable experience as an Engineering Intern at Laerdal Medical, a leading provider of simulation-based education and training solutions for healthcare professionals and students. I worked with a team of engineers to design, test, and troubleshoot manufacturing solutions for medical simulation devices and software. I administered data analysis by building mobile/desktop applications to identify areas for improvement using Tulip, a platform for creating and managing manufacturing workflows, to help reduce cycle time reduction, waste reduction, and increased throughput.I am a well-rounded, hard-working, and motivated individual who is always looking for a challenge and an opportunity to learn and grow. I work well with others and value collaboration and communication. I am actively seeking internships and entry level jobs that can offer me exposure and insights into different industries and domains that are related to engineering, research and development, data analytics, and computer science especially in the realm of sports science, human performance, and biomechanical analysis.
