Provide support to attorneys in civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense, including first-party and third-party property, bodily injury, and uninsured/underinsured motorists Open new cases by completing conflict checks and case/file setup, filing notices of appearance and designation of counsel, and requesting claim files. Perform research, review legal documents, and fact-check. Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, notices, motions, discovery, subpoenas, proposed agreed orders, etc. Review complaints and claim files, and prepare claim summary. Prepare, organize, store, retrieve, and manage case files. Calendar & monitor deadlines, track case progress, and check dockets and e-Filing notifications. Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours. Correspond with clients, providing updates and documents to review via client portals, email, and phone. Provide training and guidance to team members.
