About Jeff Gorder

In 11 years with KPMG and 5 years since joining Tableau/Salesforce I have proven successful in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments. In public accounting I developed strong technical, supervisory, project management, and client service skills. I expanded on those skills at Tableau/Salesforce and developed a strong understanding of operations, supervising multiple teams across many areas of Finance (see Experience section).As a leader I strongly believe that people form the foundation of success. In every aspect of my job I start by building strong relationships with supervisors, peers, and team members throughout the organization. I have successfully navigated challenges presented by good times, such as growth that stretches resources, and more difficult times, such as acquisitions and integration. I have genuine concern and appreciation for my team members, particularly in understanding and helping them achieve what is important to them and fostering open, two-way communication no matter the situation. In doing so I have achieved business objectives and also created an environment that people want to be a part of. The most rewarding parts of working in high performance cultures have been helping develop the people around me, watching them succeed inside and outside of my organization, and challenging myself and expanding my own professional skills.

   Currently responsible for the Global Accounting – Mergers & Acquisitions team and serving as the Global Business Process Owner for the Record-to-Report function. Within Global M&A, my responsibilities include the integration of newly acquired businesses into the Finance function, including direct ownership and/or close interaction across Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Revenue, Commissions, Procurement, Treasury, and Governance (including SOX), as well as the integration of personnel, systems, and policies/procedures. I am also responsible for the continuing accounting operations for acquired entities such as Slack and Tableau, including US GAAP, local compliance, and winddown efforts such as dissolution. The Global M&A team spans all regions, with personnel based in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, and acquisitions made throughout the world.As the Global Business Process Owner for R2R, I focus on coordination across the Finance and Operations organization, collaborating with business partners on critical projects and ongoing operations, process optimization, and transformation.
