My position is accountable for design, development, and implementation of a corporate-wide Supplier Diversity program. Responsible for developing the US Supplier Diversity strategies for small and diverse suppliers, establishing relationships with external organizations, working closely with internal business units who make procurement decisions in order to influence, and ensuring that Extreme Networks is compliant with both customer & government reporting requirements. • Lead & drive the creation and execution of a supplier diversity program• Leverage internal tools to analyze data in order to raise awareness with key business units on diversity opportunities• Utilize internal diverse supplier search engine tools to connect internal business users with prospective suppliers• Champion & promote the diversity search engine tool, regularly checking up on the business units to ensure participation• Development of a Diverse Supplier database for goods & services to post on intranet site• Identifying diverse suppliers & facilitate discussions with Procurement colleagues• Marketing the Supplier Diversity program via an assortment of mechanisms, making employees aware of its importance• Incorporate supplier diversity objectives into policies and procedures• Benchmarking supplier diversity best practices and identify ways to incorporate into Extreme Networks• Creation of a practical, implementable, scalable, best in class program for a company of this size• Manage all supplier diversity reporting activities, whether for customers, the government, or internal management• Development of supplier diversity targets and metrics that align with customer and government requirements, reporting on them quarterly• Ensuring that supplier diversity certifications remain valid to make certain that the company leverages spend with certified suppliers• Preparing and filing the annual Small Business Sub Contracting Plan & other required government documents
