ABOUT JASON BAUMAN
I’m currently a Vice President responsible for the business unit performance of the Intelligent Cockpit Business Unit Americas region with 20+ years of experience in areas including engineering and overseeing the product development lifecycle. As a former VP of Global Engineering and former VP of Customer Program Management, I have led product development teams through innovation, platform, and production. I have worked at all levels of an organization to support continued collaboration, establish long-lasting relationships, and provide executive leadership to meet business needs. Throughout my various roles in the automotive industry, I have worked to address organizational issues, improve processes, and utilize data-driven decision-making for company success. While communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, I have delivered effective programs to meet customer requirements, implemented Agile methodologies, and focused on continuous innovation.Some of my career highlights include- two-time GM supplier of the year- leading the complete restructuring of the Car Audio business unit- created the Car Audio platform strategy (hardware, software, and product)- led \"Shift Left\" initiative to improve global software quality- built new engineering sites in Mexico and India- led Car Audio Japan and Korea office re-organizations- established model-based systems engineering at Lear- co-created an automated HIL testing system which eventually became NI VeriStand- managed and launched the first Chrysler UConnect product- 13 patents and numerous publications
