ABOUT JANINE GRAINGER
As a seasoned entrepreneur turned professional director, I bring a blend of strategic, financial, and innovation expertise to the boards and ventures I work with.In 2017, I co-founded Easy Crypto, which grew to become New Zealand’s leading cryptocurrency trading platform, transacting over $4 billion and serving more than users globally. After leading the company through rapid growth and a record-setting $17 million Series A raise in 2021, we successfully sold Easy Crypto in 2025.Today, I apply those lessons in governance, scaling, and culture-building as a professional director and startup mentor, helping founders navigate growth, capital raising, and organisational leadership.I continue to contribute to the wider fintech ecosystem as a member of the FinTechNZ Executive Council and through government advisory roles, including the Digital Trust Working Group for APEC and representation at the V20 virtual asset summit (G20).Recognised as a Women of Web3 Top 10 Changemaker, Blockchain NZ Stand-Out Individual & Entrepreneur of the Year, and winner of the 2023 IBM Hi-Tech Awards “Inspiring Individual”, I’m passionate about shaping the future of technology with integrity and inclusion at its core.
