When I joined, MFAT\'s people functions operated in silos — HR services, payroll, systems, and workforce data each doing their own thing, with limited connection between them. My mandate was to change that: build something integrated, accountable, and genuinely capable of supporting a globally distributed workforce across 50+ posts.As a member of the People Division Leadership Team, I lead a function of 17 across five teams. The work spans the full people operations spectrum — from transactional HR delivery to workforce analytics — and sits at the intersection of people, technology, and service design.What we\'ve built since:• Designed and stood up an integrated HR operations function, merging transactional services, data insights, and enablement into a single model.• Led full-cycle procurement and implementation of cloud application services for SAP SuccessFactors, delivering on time and within budget.• Digitised the HR policy library, lifting user satisfaction by 30% and improving compliance across a geographically dispersed workforce.• Drove a continuous improvement programme across the People Division, contributing to a 50% uplift in engagement scores across the broader group.• Built a high-performing team within four months — sustaining engagement at 93%, more than 23 points above the national benchmark.
