ABOUT GLORY BANTAN MAFOR
If in need of someone who thinks innovatively out of the box, I am your candidate. I easily adapt to any environment and figure out any challenge. Growing up, I admired judges, and I thought I would make an excellent magistrate. Understanding science and technology came quickly to me. In order not to waste that ability, and coupled with my love for challenging environments, I decided to venture into electrical and electronic engineering with the area of focus being power systems. It granted me opportunities to work for power utility companies both in Cameroon and South Africa, where I developed over 7 models to monitor energy savings while researching HVAC energy efficiency at a master’s level. I later was the youngest electrical section engineer running a refinery plant besides carry out process optimization and energy savings initiatives throughout the plant. One of my energy savings initiatives in the mining company portrayed a potential of $1million monthly savings in electricity consumption. Some of my innovative ideas were adopted and implemented in the organizations I worked for, while others were not. Curious to learn more about persuasion, proposing and analyzing a business strategy, exploring a more challenging environment, being an effective leader, and adding the “people” piece to my technical background, I decided to enroll in business school. My first area of focus in Supply Chain Management will feed my passion for dynamism in challenges, process optimization, and connection with people. Business Analytics, which is my second area of focus, will groom and advance my analytics skills, enabling me to understand how to use big data to make informed decisions as a leader. Keywords: Challenge, Energy Efficiency, Innovation, Process OptimizationSoftware: Advanced Excel, Azure, MATLAB, Tableau
