ABOUT ERIC SODERLUND

Eric Soderlund is a senior vice president who joined Sargent & Lundy in 2007. He sets the strategic direction for Sargent & Lundy’s consulting, technical advisory, grid modernization, and decarbonization services. Eric has led teams on over 500 projects in the past decade and been responsible for their planning, execution, and monitoring. For over 15 years, Eric has managed and directed assignments in support of development, design, construction, financing, and operations of energy projects, and has extensive experience working with various power technologies, including wind, solar (PV and CSP), energy storage, hydro, and nuclear. He also has experience with projects relating to thermal generation, carbon capture, and clean fuel production, transmission, and utilization.Eric\'s specific expertise includes project development, owner’s engineering, independent engineering due diligence, asset transaction, condition assessments, and expert testimony for developers, system operators, constructors, OEMs, utilities, municipalities, IPPs, financial institutions, and other organizations. Eric has experience performing, managing, and directing assignments throughout the United States and in numerous other countries. He has presented at multiple renewable energy industry conferences.Eric has a BS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MS in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an MBA from DePaul University. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and Michigan.
