Trilingual English-Portuguese-Spanish professional with 10-plus years of experience designing and analyzing complex and large-scale structures, including concrete dams, seismic-resistant buildings, and infrastructure projects across multiple continents. I am proficient in applying international standards (Brazilian, American, and European) to ensure compliance, safety, and structural integrity. I am a strong collaborator with a proven track record of leading interdisciplinary teams, optimizing designs, and managing large-scale construction projects.For example, as a Resident Engineer at Intertechne Consultores (Engineering Projects Consultancy), in a USD 5 billion project, I coordinated communication between multiple stakeholders—including designers, construction teams, inspectors, and clients—using an integrated platform, Citadon. As the lead for the on-site design team, managing around 40 people, I closely monitored the project’s document issuance schedule to prevent delays that could halt construction activities. I also supervised and approved project modifications, ensuring safety, feasibility, and compliance with specifications while tracking progress to ensure timely approval by inspectors before execution.Furthermore, in a proactive approach to crisis management and government relations, I addressed a critical situation where a misinterpreted photograph raised concerns about the safety of a dam. The image, taken before the drainage channels were completed, made the downstream face appear constantly wet, causing alarm. Together with a fellow engineer, I prepared a detailed technical presentation for the Angolan Minister of Energy, demonstrating that the dam met all safety and technical standards. During a two-hour meeting, we provided compelling evidence that reassured the minister and dispelled concerns.
