Support the design and implementation of equitable resilience and sustainabilityprograms and projects that advance and accelerate equitable climate solutions. ABOUT DEVIN JEFFERSON
I have dedicated my career to connecting non-profit missions with high-impact initiatives in Program Management, Youth Development, and STEM programming within both formal and informal settings. As a native of Richmond, Virginia, I possess a deep understanding of and connection to the Metro Richmond area. This background has enabled me to develop STEM-focused programming for culturally and racially diverse audiences over the years. With an academic background in Biology, I am adept at creating and implementing high-quality STEM programs in partnership with various stakeholders, including government and nonprofit organizations, all while promoting the values of scientific thinking. I also led the RVAir initiative at the Science Museum of Virginia, which focused on community science to study local air quality and develop community-driven solutions to address challenges related to environmental justice and urban planning. During my Thriving Earth Exchange Community Science Fellowship, I collaborated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond to establish a pathway for community science engagement through a pilot STEM education curriculum. This experience intensified my passion for working with local groups to enhance community-level understanding of climate change and improve resilience to its impacts.
