David Alexander is President of Alexander Resource Strategies providing strategic planning, fundraising consulting, board development and executive coaching to those who serve the common good and the Kingdom good.He also serves as a Convene CEO Peer Advisory Board Chair, focused on connecting, equipping and inspiring Christian CEOs and business owners to grow exceptional businesses and become high-impact leaders that honor God.David Alexander is a big picture person. He served in private higher education leadership for 25 years as university president, vice president for development, administrator and musical conductor. He has spent his professional life bringing people together to accomplish things that could not be achieved separately. David is well-equipped to serve causes that matter. He established Alexander Resource Strategies to provide counsel in strategic planning, fundraising and executive coaching to not-for-profits and select businesses. He initiated, managed and participated in capital campaigns raising over $100 million. Those successful initiatives emerged from his broader work in vision casting, strategic planning and operational execution. Along the way he worked with numerous boards, foundations, teams, and colleagues to establish new initiatives, re-vision existing programs and monitor and manage institutional change. Together they enjoyed great success and learned from their mistakes. He brings all this experience, his commitment to excellence, his passion for compelling vision and a git-r-done spirit to his consulting work.When David isn’t serving clients he can be found playing “dog-pile papa” with his five grandchildren. He enjoys snow skiing with Sandy, his wife of 43 years, and learning the art of fly-fishing. Prior to his work in strategic planning, fundraising and administration, David trained as a conductor.
