As manager of a 7-person team (one supervisor, and six clinicians), I am charged with managing caseloads, educating staff, and improving communications between the Probation Department and other key programs/entities in Dallas County. The program is an intensive in-home family therapy program based on the FFT model, which focuses on building/rebuilding relationships and communications within the family unit. In addition to assigning cases, I also provide family therapy, and manage the FFT supervisor.In 7/2023 Dallas County was selected as a site for the FFT Externship, which enables individuals to be trained as FFT Supervisors both domestically, and internationally. As the FFT Externship Coordinator, I am tasked with ensuring that referrals are procured, co-train with the Externship Director, as well as assist in the rating of Externs.
