General Manager @Mojo Coffee Nz

Leading Mojo group\'s retail and wholesale businesses in Auckland, along with Eighthirty and Kokako;Three iconic and uniquely positioned brands, delivering speciality coffee and world class hospitality across Aotearoa

ABOUT DAN LACEY

I lead the Auckland operations for the Mojo Coffee Group, working across three independent brands; Mojo, Kōkako and eighthirty, covering a mix of retail, wholesale and production environments. My career in coffee and hospitality has taken me across New Zealand and the UK, and through roles in training, product development, wholesale, FMCG, roasting, and multi-site operations. Across all of it, the common thread has been people, quality brands and building businesses that last.In my current role, I’m responsible for the performance and day-to-day leadership of the Group’s Auckland business unit. This includes overseeing ~70 people, overseeing hospitality operations, supporting the wholesale teams, and ensuring our production and logistics functions run smoothly. A big part of the work is bringing structure, consistency and alignment across brands while protecting what makes each of them unique. I’m at my best when I’m working with teams; developing managers, lifting capability, and creating clarity around expectations and outcomes. I care about good systems, good communication and good coffee, and I’m comfortable balancing hands-on operational work with longer-term planning. As I continue to grow in the role, I’m building toward broader executive responsibilities, with particular interest in operational leadership, culture, and sustainable commercial growth.Happy to connect with others working in coffee, FMCG, hospitality, retail or organisational leadership.
