Focused on bridging the digital divide in the following areas:(1) The installation of broadband Fiber Infrastructure (citywide fiber or fiber/fixed wireless plan, poverty neighborhoods, low-income housing, and MDUs),(2)Affordable High-Speed Internet (ACP sign-up, low income internet services, jet packs, hot spots, fiber infrastructure to fixed wireless),(3) Access To Smart Technology (laptops, tablets, phones, TV\'s, watches, telehealth and all in home devices/technology,(4) Access To Local Digital Equity Resources (tech hubs in the community, tech cafes in small businesses, public libraries, device loaner programs, tech support, and refurbished. recycled device program),(5) Access To Digital Literacy Courses (online and in-person basic digital literacy, telehealth, city online series, fintech, social media, online resources and promoting city DEI PSA digital equity YouTube Channel, and (6) Access To IT Workforce Training, Apprenticeship, Internship and Job Placement (online and in-person IT workforce courses, precertification, certification accessible via a city wide learning management system (LMS) with access to location and national tech courses, provide free, corporate sponsored to subsidized courses/training.
