ABOUT CHRIS DENNIS

Dr. Chris Dennis, MD, MBA, FAPA is a board-certified psychiatrist and physician executive based in Miami with more than 25 years of leadership across behavioral health, substance use disorders, value-based care, and digital health. He is licensed in all 50 states, Washington, DC, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.Dr. Dennis began his career in emergency and academic psychiatry, serving as an attending and associate medical director within Northwell Health and Jacobi Medical Center, and as Assistant Professor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He subsequently joined ValueOptions, then the largest managed behavioral healthcare organization in the US, where he served as Chief Medical Officer, Commercial Division and Senior Vice President, Regional Medical Director. As a member of the National Leadership Team, he led psychiatric strategy for business development, utilization management, and quality performance initiatives.In 2014, he joined Landmark Health, later acquired by Optum, where he served as Chief Psychiatric Officer, then Chief Behavioral Health Officer. He designed and scaled a multi-state collaborative behavioral health and SUD model embedded within medically complex populations across 40 states. He also served as President of multi-state medical group practices, overseeing national clinical operations and physician networks.In 2019, Dr. Dennis co-founded Minded, a direct-to-consumer telepsychiatry platform focused on evidence-based treatment for women with anxiety, depression, and insomnia. As Co-Founder and clinical architect, he built scalable multi-state medical groups, governance frameworks, and telehealth infrastructure. Minded exited to Uplift and subsequently became part of Teladoc Health.From 2024 to 2025, he served as Chief Medical Officer of Pinnacle Treatment Centers, a Linden Capital-backed national addiction treatment platform, leading MOUD expansion, co-occurring capability development, and payor strategy. He currently serves as Senior Medical Advisor to Pinnacle and as Senior Advisor and Chief Medical and Strategy Officer, U.S, for Neomente, an AI-enabled precision psychiatry clinical decision support platform guiding biomarker-informed treatment selection.Dr. Dennis holds an MD from St. George’s University and an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and serves on the Behavioral Health Measurement Advisory Panel for NCQA.In parallel with his operating roles he is an active investor and advisor focused on behavioral health services and AI-enabled clinical infrastructure.
