In my current role, I lead the evolution of ChoiceU.com and the learning ecosystem supporting thousands of franchisees and hotel teams across the Choice Hotels portfolio. My focus is delivering learning that is accessible, relevant, and aligned with real performance needs in hospitality.I set strategy for our LMS, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. This includes guiding content development, optimizing system functionality, and driving engagement so training connects directly to daily operations. My work bridges learning design, technology, and field realities, translating front line insights into solutions that help hotels succeed.I analyze engagement patterns, reporting trends, and performance data to shape priorities and demonstrate measurable impact on hotel results. This insights-driven approach allows us to continually refine Choice University and better prepare franchisees for evolving demands.I also oversee training compliance reporting and billing processes to maintain brand alignment and required standards, reinforcing learning as a driver of operational excellence.This role continues to prepare me for broader leadership by strengthening my ability to lead through enterprise technology transitions and complex system challenges. Guiding stakeholders through change has deepened my strategic thinking, technical fluency, and commitment to continuous growth. It’s a dynamic profession where service, teamwork, and creativity come together to create memorable experiences every day. With nearly three decades in the industry and a long tenure at Choice Hotels since 2006, I’ve focused my work on one goal: helping people and hotels thrive by creating learning experiences that are engaging, grounded in real hotel work, and designed to stick.I bring a strong growth mindset and adaptability to my work, evolving alongside the industry, technology, and learner needs. My foundation is in hotel operations, where I worked across nearly every department and later led Choice-branded properties in New Orleans and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. In New Orleans, I guided a hotel through Hurricane Katrina, gaining firsthand experience with crisis leadership, high-stakes decision-making, and the reality that preparation is not optional. Those years taught me how hotels truly operate and what teams need to succeed. They continue to shape how I lead today: putting people and safety first, building systems that create real efficiency rather than chasing shiny tools, designing learning that genuinely helps, and running operations that feel human.As my career evolved, so did my focus on learning strategy, engagement design, learning technology, UX, analytics, and LMS leadership. I build intelligent, user-centered learning ecosystems that strengthen franchisee capability, improve performance, and make learning approachable and relevant. I’m known as a servant leader who navigates change thoughtfully, adapts to shifting priorities, and invests deeply in people’s growth.I’m always learning, always evolving, and always looking ahead. My direction is clear. I’m committed to shaping the future of hospitality learning and helping hotel teams turn their roles into long-term, rewarding careers.Outside of work, you’ll usually find me hiking forest trails, mountain biking in the Northwoods, kayaking quiet lakes, or exploring with my two teenage boys.
