About Carmen Dubose
In I landed a part time job at a sporting goods retailer in my local mall. At the time, my intent was as to make a few extra dollars to pay my cell phone bill while I finished my degree. I never could have imagined where I would be today. As I look back, I am so thankful to Scott Myers who took a chance on me promoting me into the industry of Asset Protection and Jeremy Bailey who helped mentor me in this journey. With these opportunities afforded to me, I found my work passion in Asset Protection. The most enriching parts have been to aide in the success and development of others and to be a part of a company that has grown by almost stores nationwide during my tenure. In the most recent years, I have been fortunate enough to be more involved in the Loss Prevention industry as a whole and to be able to give back to an industry that has been so good to me. Starting the IAI SE Chapter and witnessing the growth and success of it this past year has been one of the more rewarding aspects of my career. Over the last year, I’ve been selected to join the NRF Leadership Council, RILA Asset Protection Council, the Loss Prevention Magazine Editorial Board. I’ve met so many outstanding professionals as a product of this. There’s something very special and unique about the people of the Loss Prevention/ Asset Protection community. I am honored to be a part of it. Despite the various title changes in these 24 years, the one constant reward has been working with a wonderful network of people, aiding in the development of Asset Protection professionals in their careers, and contributing to the growth of this company. I love the ride I’m on.
