PowerSchool’s mission is to power the education ecosystem with unified technology that helps educators and students realize their potential. As the Strategic Programs Director, I am responsible for driving business transformation activities, including but not limited to the development, launch and execution of our strategic operating plan following the most recent investment in PowerSchool. In addition, I participate in pre-close M&A activity and am ultimately responsible for leading the integration efforts following PowerSchool\'s acquisitions of Headed2, Chalk, Kinvolved, Kickboard, Naviance & Intersect (\"Hobsons\"), Schoology, AccelaSchool, and Hoonuit. I also developed the tracking and execution methodology for PowerSchool\'s Transition Services Agreement (TSA) with another education-focused company. I work directly with PowerSchool and/or Acquired leadership on all projects that I own and/or facilitate. Established in 1997, Apple acquired the PowerSchool platform in 2001 and from then to 2006 expanded enrollment from 1 million to 3.5 million students. Pearson plc acquired the platform in 2006 to replace its existing SIS, which was the most popular system on the market. In June 2015, Vista Equity Partners announced that it would purchase the PowerSchool group from Pearson. The sale was completed in August of 2015, making PowerSchool the largest U.S. owned SIS in K-12 education. With an investment from Onex Corporation, Vista Equity Partners merged PowerSchool with another portfolio company, PeopleAdmin, in August of 2018. PowerSchool has grown 250% since becoming standalone both organically and through acquisitions to expand solutions that provide the most comprehensive K-12 technology platform for all needs of school districts of all sizes. PowerSchool is a portfolio company of Onex Corporation and Vista Equity Partners.
