Promoted to Initiative Officer after joining the ReWork team in January 2022 as an Associate Initiative Officer, after more than a year on the HOPE SF team. Since joining ReWork, I have successfully led several multi-sector demonstration projects involving grantmaking, funder relations, and project management. Ive also taken an active role in building relationships with new partners and funders for ReWork, as well as becoming a key spokesperson for ReWork, representing Rework on panels at five different conferences on average each year. I’ve also invested considerable time in my own development, including completing the Georgetown University Executive Certificate in Philanthropic Leadership in 2023. Within SFF, Ive played a key role on the Internal Equity Working Group, planning teams for SFF events and gatherings, and actively participated in Black @ SFF, among other things. As an Initiative Officer, I will continue to exercise my fundraising and public speaking roles on the ReWork team. ReWork the Bay brings together systems leaders, economic justice advocates, education and training providers, business leaders and funders to take bold, urgent action to create a prosperous Bay Area for all, especially working people.

ABOUT BRIANNA ROGERS
Brianna Rogers - from The Bay Area, CA is not just a grant maker—she is a systems disruptor, power builder, and strategist who uses philanthropy as a vehicle for deep, structural change. She understands that philanthropy’s role is not simply to fund initiatives, but to redistribute power, challenge inequities, and create new models that put communities at the center of decision-making.Through her leadership at The San Francisco Foundation on the ReWork the Bay team, Brianna demonstrates how philanthropy can be leveraged to build economic power for workers of all ages who have historically been excluded from prosperity. She doesn’t just fund workforce programs—she organizes across sectors to align funders, labor leaders, policy advocates, and community organizations around a shared vision for economic justice. She has led efforts to challenge traditional workforce strategies that prioritize corporate interests over worker well-being, pushing instead for investments that center dignified jobs, worker power, and racial equity. By rethinking how resources flow, she ensures that philanthropy is not reinforcing inequitable systems but actively working to dismantle and rebuild them in ways that serve Black and Brown communities including our transitional age youth.Brianna holds a B.A in Rhetoric Studies from UC Berkeley and a master\'s degree in public policy management from Georgetown University as a National Urban Fellow. She currently serves on the board of the East Oakland youth development center (EOYDC) and is a Board of Director for the Solano Community Foundation.
