ABOUT J. M. JOHNSON

Putting decades of fascination with human performance/development, epistemology, and nature of mind to work creating the world I want to live in - one where freedom, agency, and compassion are maximized. Creating safety so we can know more-I build relational and operational infrastructure, aligning organizations and systems with human values. I cut through ambiguity to make better decisions and drive results via ruthless prioritization, fostering atmospheres of psychological safety, and through the removal of logistical barriers.I catalyze effectiveness as a strategist and multidisciplinary doer who collaborates without ego. My work is informed by a global perspective, a developmental lens, and 15 years\' experience partnering with ambitious social entrepreneurs across sectors and varied contexts to bring transformative visions to life.I lead with curiosity, humility, empathy, and intellectual rigor in my unwavering pursuit of effectiveness. I listen and interact with a measuredness forged through life experiences: growing up poor in rural America, being a palliative caregiver to a parent as a child, developing as a queer person in a non-affirming community, living and working abroad amongst refugees, cultivating a decade-long meditation practice, and round-the-clock partnering with the most intelligent, creative, and ambitious human I\'ve met.
