About Breanna Balcuns

Quick facts: Security Professional, Marine Corps veteran, active TS/SCI clearance, Bachelor\'s degree, previous IFPC and pursuing SFPC.I am currently employed as a member of a security office directly supporting an interagency customer. My role touches on all aspects of security, providing exposure to and experience in each individual discipline. I engage and interface directly with unit personnel, members of other units, contracting companies, Government agencies, and foreign representatives.Previously, I worked in the Audio-Video Forensics Lab within the National Media Exploitation Center. My team and I demonstrated proficiency in several multimedia forensic disciplines, responding to a wide variety of customer requests. During my time here, my team improved its collaborative efforts with internal and external entities, and refined and streamlined administrative and workflow processes. We consistently exceeded expectations and redefined success.In the Marine Corps I served as a Cryptologic Language Analyst (Signals Intelligence and Linguistics). I maintained technical and linguistic proficiency and used my abilities to contribute to the success of my teams in-garrison and deployed. My duties included collections, analysis, translation, report writing, and administration/management. I received an Honorable discharge upon completion of my enlistment.I am an avid learner and lifelong student and strive to apply all that I\'ve learned in a way that continues to make a difference. It is important that I contribute to and be a part of a company whose mission and objectives I support, that will allow me the opportunity of further personal and professional growth. I constantly challenge myself to be better, and I enjoy work that consistently demands more of me.To date, I have earned two Associate\'s degrees - General Studies and Levantine Arabic Language and Culture - as well as a Bachelor\'s degree in Arabic Language and Culture. Additionally, I am halfway through completion of a similar Master\'s degree. I am CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certified, previously obtained an Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification, and am currently working to achieve a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification.I firmly believe that the greatest resource we have in life is each other!
