ABOUT BONNIE SAMS
I am an award-winning certified supply chain professional with over 20 years of leadership in aerospace, manufacturing and service environments. I have extensive experience supporting both indirect and direct spend; the latter of which includes the categories of machine parts, electronics, and castings. In my tenure, I have consistently achieved YoY cost savings and increased spend-under-management. I have led cross-functional teams, directed projects, and identified levers to drive desired change. From both a professional and personal perspective, I enjoy chartering a map to a desired location, navigating unknown terrain and negotiating opportunities that may arise along the way. I am curious, driven, energetic and seeking to join a company that is looking for leaders to supplement their team. In a recent position, I worked to stabilize the supply chain put into serious jeopardy by a series of poor performing suppliers. Almost 40% of a key product line had to be re-sourced, many of which were fairly complex machine parts. By the end of the 3rd quarter, backorders in this category had decreased by 75%, fill-rates had increased by 70%, and turns had doubled-despite an unanticipated 28% increase in demand that occurred in first quarter! These results had our customers\' experience vastly improve and enabled our team to be more pro-active in implementing strategy and allowed us to focus on cost-out and continuous improvement opportunities.
